-----------------------
UTv2 Software Upgrade v2.03 10/16/6 HERE
Software Version 2.03
Changes:
Altered the built in quick setup configs. The MC-1/DC-2 quick setup was per the RS232 specifications but the Lexicon's actually varied from the spec. This is corrected in this software to work with both in spec and with the out of spec DC-2, MC-1s.
The Quick Setup settings were also altered for the MC-4/8/12. Just shortened so that once the part of the packet that IDs the input comes in the UT matches to it.
New Feature:
Front Panel to On Screen Display function. This feature is currently specific to Lexicon Pre-pros and Lumagen HDP, Pro HDP, DVI and HDQ scalers. The Lumagen must have version 100706 or later software installed for this feature to work.
This feature takes basically whatever is displayed on the Lexicon's Front Panel Display and uses the Lumagen to display it On Screen through the scaler. This way if the Lumagen handles all video switching alone the user can still get a Status Display from the Lexicon. To turn this on from the setup Main Menu go into Option 8 and turn on the feature.
After the Universal Translator is reconnected to the Lexicon and the Lexicon is either ON or in Standby power cycle the Universal Translator. The Universal Translator will configure the Lexicon as needed to support the FP->OSD function. The Lexicon keeps the configuration through Standby but not through hard power cycles. If the Lexicon is ever power cycled after the Lexicon is finished going through the diagnostics bootup power cycle the Universal Translator to reconfigure the Lexicon as needed.
Turning the Front Panel display on and off on the Lexicon (FP button on the remote control) also turns on and off the On Screen Display. This can be used to have the display only when desired.
Feature tested on MC-12HD. Should work on the MC-12, MC-8, MC-4 and RV-8. Will not work on DC-2 or MC-1 due to differences in their serial protocols, basic feature for DC-2, MC-1 added in v2.05.

UTv2 Software Upgrade v2.02 6/3/2006 HERE
Software Version 2.02
New Feature: Input to Output String Remapping.
Previous software versions simply mapped input to output 1:1. In other words if the UT matched Input String #5 it sent Output String #5. This made setting the UTv2 up with configuration files more difficult since every person has different needs between the inputs on their pre-pro and their video switch or scaler. The Output Strings previously had to be changed as needed per system.
The Input to Output String Remapping makes setup much quicker and easier when using configuration files. You can now alter the mapping between input/output strings such that any matched INPUT string can be remapped to send any OUTPUT string desired. For example if the UT matched Input String #5 it can be mapped to send Output String #10. This option has been added to the INPUT STRING Configure Menu. You can also review and clear any mapping that is currently in place in the same place. Input to Output String Remapping will be saved as part of the INPUT Configuration if you download the configuration from the UT.
Input to Output String Remapping is also useful for when you need to alter the relationship between Inputs on your Pre-Pro and Inputs on your scaler or video switch. Previously the Output Strings would need to be reconfigured as desired. Now you just change the Input to Output mapping and you can accomplish the same thing quicker and easier.
